The College visitor entrance is at 254 St Margaret’s Banks, High Street, Rochester ME1 1HY (please use this postcode and details if you are using a satnav), which is next door to Medway Little Theatre.
The College is approximately 700m from Rochester Station or a short taxi ride from Chatham Station, both on the main London-Dover train line. Fast trains from London Victoria take only 45 minutes, 30 minutes from Bromley South. There are trains to Gravesend and Dartford on the London Charing Cross line. The high speed trains from London St Pancras (37 minutes) and Stratford (25 mins) also stop at Rochester. Many students travel to us daily on these train lines and we can run a train buddy system in the first few weeks of term.
The Eurostar terminals at Ebbsfleet International Station with a direct link to Paris and Brussels is 20 minutes away. Again, transport to and from the College is easily arranged.
For road travel, both the M2 and M20 motorways pass close to Rochester. The major airports are within easy reach, Gatwick being only one hour and Heathrow one and a half hour away by road. Airport pick ups are arranged at the beginning and end of each term by the College. The Channel ports at Dover and Folkstone are less than a one hour drive away.
The college does not have any dedicated parking but there are two public car parks on St Margaret’s Banks, a 2 minute walk away from our visitors’ entrance.
RIC runs daily minibus routes from Sevenoaks area, Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Kings Hill and Maidstone and surrounding villages. These routes are set at the start of each year to provide the most convenient pick up points. We discourage student car use where there are public transport options on environmental grounds.
