“We all loved RIC – the human factor of the college and the results you achieve are fantastic and I feel that it’s a perfect place for my son.”

a fresh alternative for gcse study
No two people are alike. But many schools presume all students are the same, offer an overly prescriptive model of education and reward dull conformity.
RIC aims to be the antidote to a one size fits all approach to education. We encourage our students to follow their own enthusiasms, to choose freely from a wide range of GCSE subjects and offer a great deal of flexibility as to the programmes followed and the pace at which they learn.
Students here respond enthusiastically to high expectations of behaviour and achievement and to being treated as young adults. They achieve academically in an environment without petty rules but with a clear sense of purpose and structure.
Students at RIC enjoy a highly personalised education that really delivers, growing up as independent thinkers with confidence, a sense of social responsibility and a set of skills that will allow them to flourish in the real world. Students join RIC from local independent and state schools for both one and two year GCSE courses. They join students who have been at RIC since the age of 11. Believing that everyone who works hard can do well we are non selective. Our GCSE results however rival those of selective schools. The expectation is that all will have the confidence and grades at the end of Year 11 to proceed to sixth form study and beyond that to university.
