January A level courses at UK Boarding School
Every year students join RIC’s sixth form in January to begin an 18 month A level course. There are still a number of boarding places available for a January 2016 start.
A level study at RIC is designed to be very flexible. Five term courses commence in January and end in June the following year. International students who finish their academic year in December overseas can move immediately onto these courses, avoiding the need to wait until the following September to start a two year course. The majority of students who join RIC in January each year though are UK students who may wish to change schools or subjects after starting their sixth form studies elsewhere. We also welcome students who have started the IB Diploma at other schools but feel having done so that they may be better suited to A levels.
The new A level system, where the AS exam in most subjects does not count towards the A level award, makes these five term A level courses even more suitable for students who need to switch schools or start A levels in January rather than waiting until September 2016.
