Students join the sixth form after completing their GCSEs at both grammar schools and traditional independent schools. A number of mature students join each year to restart A levels or change direction. A significant number of students join us for their Year 13 to maximise their A level prospects.
Local students work alongside international students, creating a lively and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Being stimulated and enthused is a vital ingredient for success in education. Our teachers appreciate the importance of maintaining enjoyment in learning, particularly when so much time is spent in the exam hall. Believing that everyone who works hard can do well, we are non selective and so do not have an entrance exam or minimum GCSE requirements for sixth form.
“The quality of provision for students’ spiritual, moral and cultural education is outstanding. The development of students’ self knowledge, self esteem and self confidence are central to the College aims.”
