British Boarding School short immersion courses at RIC

On an RIC short course international students have the opportunity to experience British boarding school life for one, two or three terms.

The courses give international students an introduction to British culture. Students improve their English and are given a taste of what they can expect if they choose to join RIC in the future.

Situated only a 37-minute train ride from London, students experience a safe environment, with easy access to one of the world’s most exciting cities.

Unlike programmes run exclusively for international students, visitors on an RIC short course are fully integrated into the day-to-day life of the school, attending lessons and activities alongside British students. Speaking English in every situation is inescapable.

As RIC only accepts small numbers of short course visitors at any point in the academic year it is possible to tailor the programmes to suit the academic, artistic and cultural interests of prospective students. As well as lessons students will also take part in group activities, sports games and cultural trips throughout Kent and South East England.

Students who join these courses are issued with an RIC certificate detailed their achievements on the programme. They may, and often do, choose to extend their stay at the College.

Students can stay for a term in Year 12 or Year 10 classes.

Fees for these courses are charged on a pro rata basis of full time fees, details of which are available here.
